New Loan Risk Analysis

Orion offers a New Loan Risk Analysis Service where prior to a pending loan being approved, we are able to assess the property associated risk factor. This is not intended to replace the traditional valuation or property appraisal that would have already been commissioned and relied upon, but should be seen as complimenting the underwriting process with an independent, dispassionate and objective appraisal of the case.

Where a new loan is being considered - especially when the security is complex or unusual - then Orion can add a considerable amount of comfort to the underwriting process. We are able to assess the valuation that is being relied upon, by checking on the validity of the methodology and providing an opinion on the accuracy of value and relevancy of comparables provided. There is however no substitute for actually visiting the property as well meeting the actual borrower in order to better understand the proposition.

Where cases involve works of any nature being carried out to the property / security, we are able to asses these works in terms of projected costs and the borrower's experience and ability to complete those works.
